Hand-Tied Bouquet Class
June is peony season and our locally grown fresh peonies feature prominently in this FUN-damental class.
There’s magic in making a bouquet in your hand and then, with sweeping flare, placing it in a vase for a perfect arrangement! Come learn the art of crafting a European-style hand-tied bouquet commonly used in wedding bouquets and arrangements using a bounty of fresh peonies from our farm and and flowers from other local growers This technique is timeless and can be used to create gorgeous, textural, relaxed bouquets and centerpieces. Our hands-on workshop focuses on this versatile, sustainable floral design technique that will allow you to effortlessly showcase locally-grown botanicals, including those snipped right out of your own garden. Whether you have a wedding on your calendar or not, this technique is also very “handy” to know if you’re making a bouquet to take to a friend under the weather or to make a special hostess gift.
After walking the farm to see the garden and where we grow the peonies, Tiffany will lead students through a detailed demonstration. Students will then craft their own bouquets and finish them with satin ribbons and wrap for an easy-breezy arrangement to take home. Students are encouraged to explore their own style of design while receiving supportive encouragement and instruction.
